About Lori O’Grady
MSN, APRN-FPA, WHNP-BC, MSCP
Hi, I’m Lori.
I’m a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC), Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), and adjunct faculty member in the Women’s Health–Gender Related Nurse Practitioner program at Jefferson College of Nursing.
I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2006) and Master of Science in Nursing (2010) from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2019, I became a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner because I saw firsthand how many people navigating perimenopause and menopause struggled to find knowledgeable, compassionate care.
Over the years, I’ve learned that many patients don’t fit neatly into a single diagnosis. They come to me with fatigue, brain fog, sleep disruption, weight changes, mood shifts, low libido, chronic stress, or a feeling that they simply don’t feel like themselves anymore. Many have been told their labs are “normal,” that their symptoms are simply part of getting older, or that they just need to manage stress better.
I believe there’s almost always more to the story.
My approach is both evidence-based and deeply personalized. I look at the full picture—hormones, sleep, nutrition, metabolism, micronutrient status, stress, lifestyle, and the realities of everyday life—to better understand why symptoms are happening and what can be done to help.
As a wife, mother, gardener, reader, dog lover, educator, and neurodivergent woman myself, I understand that health doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Life is complex.
Many of us have become incredibly skilled at pushing through. We show up for work, care for our families, manage households, remember everyone’s appointments, meet deadlines, support loved ones, and keep everything moving—often while feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, overstimulated, or unlike ourselves beneath the surface.
At the same time, many women are navigating hormone changes, sleep disruption, sensory overload, chronic stress, burnout, or symptoms that don’t fit neatly into a single diagnosis. It’s no wonder so many people feel dismissed, frustrated, or disconnected from themselves.
That’s why I believe healthcare works best when we look at the full picture—not just lab values or individual symptoms, but the context of a person’s actual life.
After years of watching healthcare organizations prioritize productivity and profits over meaningful patient relationships, I made the decision to create my own practice—one that values listening, curiosity, collaboration, and individualized care.
Today, my goal is simple: to help patients feel informed, supported, and empowered in their health decisions.
I have extensive experience with hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and believe that adequate estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone play important roles not only in symptom management, but also in long-term health and healthy aging. I also prescribe weight-loss medications when appropriate as part of a comprehensive treatment plan and, whenever possible, prioritize FDA-approved treatments that are covered by insurance.
Because feeling good and being healthy shouldn’t have to cost a fortune.
Whether you’re navigating hormone changes, trying to understand unexplained symptoms, or simply looking for a provider who will take the time to listen, you’re welcome here.
